Cross Reference Early Childhood Initiatives (ECI) ; Healthy Families- Healthy Babies Program.
Description of service(s) Healthy Families-Healthy Babies (HFHB) is a Public Health initiative, organized into two categories; universal and targeted services. 
Universally, HFHB aims to create conditions that protect, promote and support breastfeeding, conduct newborn and infant screening, offer Healthy Toddler Assessment (HTA) to all 18-24 month old children residing in New Brunswick, and develop and distribute parenting resources. 
For those who qualify for targeted services, HFHB offers prenatal and/or postnatal intensive home visiting, prenatal supplements (milk and vitamins) and a Postnatal financial benefit (funded by Department of Health and distributed by Department Social Development). 
The goals of the HFHB program include: enhanced maternal health, enhanced fetal health and development, enhanced child health and development, increased commitment to healthy lifestyles by families, and use of available community/ social supports

Eligibility There are no age restrictions for the prenatal program. We home visit eligible first time parents until the child is 24 months of age
