Cross Reference Mentorship Program
Description of service(s) Offers multicultural and newcomer women and girls an opportunity to learn about their community, develop relationships and increase self-confidence and communication skills. 
 
A mentee will be matched with a mentor who shares common interests. The mentor will help the mentee learn about her new community and ways to participate in it and also share Canadian Culture. No pressure, this is not an English language class, just an opportunity to practice what you know with someone who shares similar interests!

How do I become a Mentor? 
Do you find yourself wanting to make a difference in your community? Would you like to help a newcomer or a multicultural woman feel welcome in their new community? Would you like to learn about other cultures and enjoy sharing our Canadian Culture and heritage? 
If you are patient, a good listener, and said YES! to any of the above, you will find becoming a Mentor a rewarding experience! 
To become a Mentor with PRUDE Inc. we ask you: 
- Are you at least 19 years old? 
- Are you able to meet a minimum of only four (4) hours every month for  
five (5) months? 
- To successfully complete the screening process

If you are a from a multicultural community or a newcomer woman or teen AND:  
- Are at least 16 years old; 
- Have little or no experience of community involvement  
-Are able to meet a minimum of four (4) hours every month for five (5) months; 
- Complete a one-on-one interview with the co-ordinator
