Description of service(s) | The Basic Education & Skills Training (B.E.S.T.) program is a wrap-around support program that helps adult learners move forward with individualized education and employment goals in a self-paced, small class environment: • Received support preparing for the GED (High School Diploma equivalency) • Build the Soft Skills that employers seek and that lead to job retention and satisfaction • Regular exposure to diverse guest speakers on a range of topics related to personal development • Certification opportunities (Occupational Health & Safety, First Aid/CPR, Digital Literacy, Money Matter$) • Explore post-secondary and/or employment interests/options and receive support to those next steps • Receive help connecting to community partners and resources to support personal challenges • Engaging and fun community outings and activities • 1:1 coaching both within and after programming to maintain support and accountability to education and employment goals Enrolment is continuous (as a seat is vacated, the spot is immediately filled from our waitlist) . |
