Description of service(s) | We are a K-5 school located in beautiful Riverside-Albert New Brunswick. Our school, one of the oldest in the province, offers a unique learning experience for all students. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to ensure quality education for all. In addition we strive to make every student experience success with their own individual talents and interests. At Riverside Consolidated School we, as a staff, work very hard to ensure that every student reaches his/her full potential. We set very high expectations for ourselves as teachers, as well as for each individual student. We will accept nothing less than everyone’s absolute best effort at all times. MISSION STATEMENT Riverside Consolidated School - A Community of Learners Striving For Excellence VISION Riverside Consolidated School seeks to maintain the tradition of excellence in education throughout our second century. VALUES 1. We develop proper assessment tools that correspond with the Essential Learnings. 2. Through assessment of the Essential Learnings, we will determine whether or not our students have achieved appropriate levels. 3. When a student experiences difficulty in learning we will differentiate teaching to address the student's needs appropriately. We seek assistance through professional development and various learning specialists. Students who experience difficulty are brought to the school team to determine an appropriate learning path. Parents are encourage to playan active role on their child's education team. 4. We take similar steps with students needing enrichment as with those students who experience difficulty. Teachers use flexible grouping, enrichment, pre-tests and post tests. These students are also be brought to the school team, so as to met their needs. |
