Description of service(s) | MISSION STATEMENT Our Titan community will collaborate to ensure high standards of learning, respect, and responsibility. VISION Students will graduate from Tantramar Regional High School ready to effectively respond to life’s challenges and responsibilities while contributing to society. Specifically students will: • demonstrate proficiency in subject specific essential skills, knowledge, and attitudes; • be motivated to do well, set goals, and see them through to success; • effectively communicate, problem solve, and think critically; • productively collaborate with others and adapt to life’s situations; • be active in their community; • conduct themselves in a caring and respectful manner; and • be lifelong learners. VALUES To achieve our mission and vision, we will: • collaborate, trust, and support one another to ensure the success of all students; • address and work to resolve conflict in a professional manner; • work to develop positive and caring relationships with students; • provide a safe and orderly environment; • regularly communicate with students (and their families) about their learning and progress; • maintain clear and consistent expectations for learning that focus on essential knowledge, skills, and attitudes; • monitor the results of our individual and collective efforts and use evidence of results to guide our process of continuous improvement; • employ best practices of instruction to ensure learning is relevant and engaging; • use balanced assessment practices that identify the goals of learning, provide feedback to the learner and inform instruction and interventions; • provide directive and systematic interventions to students; • build partnerships with the community; and • commit to professional lifelong learning that is reflective and responsive to the needs of the learner. |
