Description of service(s) | The Transit Fare Assistance program is designed to provide additional support to community groups as they assist their clients' efforts to attend medical appointments, access education and training, seek employment or visit service providers by providing these community groups with regular bus tickets as well as Para Transit (formerly Dial-a-Bus) tickets. |

Eligibility | In order to qualify, registered non-profit groups providing services in the following categories are considered eligible: - Community and Social Services - Preventative Health (mental and physical) - Education/Community Awareness (not related to the formal education system) In addition: 1. The organization must be incorporated as a non-profit organization. (requests from individuals will not be considered) 2. The organization must be based in Fredericton and deliver its services to the residents of Fredericton. Among other eligibility criteria. Please contact the Transit Fare Assistance Program contact person for more information. The application process for this program begins after the City's budgeting process has concluded at the end of each year and the selected applicants receive the tickets at the beginning of the year (January or February). Application forms and the eligibility criteria are on the City's website. |
