Description & Services | |
Description of service(s) | We strive to provide an atmosphere that makes your pet as comfortable as possible during their visits. We provide treats, ear rubs and back scratches to put our canine friends at ease. Our feline friends appreciate a quieter environment, treats and distracting toys. We will take the time to go slowly so your pet is minimally stressed and so that we have lots of time to communicate with you. SouthPaw provides care for our patients when illness occurs. We also provide preventive medicine through wellness exams, vaccinations and deworming tailored to the lifestyle of each pet. We have two separate kennel rooms, an isolation room and large roomy runs with heated floors. Pets who need close supervision are housed in kennels in our treatment area during the day and often travel home with our veterinarians for overnight care. The hospital also contains three examination rooms and a cozy, comfortable room is available for families to visit their hospitalized pets. Please feel free to ask for a tour! We are well equipped for efficient and accurate diagnostics allowing for us to offer you options for your pets care as quickly as possible. We have an extensive in-house laboratory for blood, urine and fecal tests. Digital radiology and ultrasound are our tools for internal imaging. Patients with sprains and strains, post-surgical pain, skin lesions and chronic inflammatory diseases such as arthritis benefit from the effects of our therapeutic laser. As well as Acupuncture treatments available by consultation appointment and then acupuncture appointment time or referral from your regular vet for consultation and then acupuncture time set up after initial appointment. Our blood pressure monitor is used to diagnose hypertension in pets and it is also one of the many tools we use for anesthetic monitoring. Surgical services include spays, neuters, C-sections, abdominal exploratories, eye and eyelid surgery, mass removals and a variety of orthopedic surgeries including cruciate surgery. We have added a dental suite to our hospital which includes a table specifically designed for dentistries, digital dental x-ray and a new ultrasonic scaler and polisher. Our dental services include cleaning and polishing, x-ray, tooth extractions and capping of minor enamel defects. Patient comfort and care is always a top priority for our patients with comfy bedding, warm water and air therapy, pain medications, post-surgical laser therapy, individual attention, monitoring and TLC. |
