Description & Services
Cross Reference NANY ; Neighbours Alliance of North York
Description of service(s) NANY is a charitable community-based organization serving a collection of rural communities located in central NB, which span a rural area of 30-90 km throughout York County, north of Fredericton.
Our members volunteer their time and talents to assist in the planning, sponsorship, monitoring, and successful implementation of social and economic improvement projects initiated by community groups who need access to government, private, or foundation funding, in order to accomplish their goals.
Over the past 24 years, successful completion of a wide range of projects, responsive to identified specific needs in different communities, including: family literacy and wellness programs seminars, early childhood programs, youth-at-risk opportunities, summer student employment, community improvement development, emergency preparedness/response planning, local agriculture development, heritage restoration, and many more, resulted in long-term life-changing benefits for children, youth, young adults, and Seniors.
NANY members worked collaboratively: founding the Start SMART Family Learning Centre in 2010 and incubating the Inclusion Network of Central New Brunswick (INCNB), both of which are now incorporated to serve their communities.
