Description of service(s) Our coalition and members are currently working on a myriad of issues including Canada’s military involvement in Lebanon, Palestine, Afghanistan, Haiti and Iraq. We oppose missile defence and nuclear arms proliferation. We are working on stopping Canada’s role in resource conflicts and on opposing Canada’s assault on the rights of indigenous peoples both inside and outside the borders of Canada from Grassy Narrows to Guatemala, Colombia to the Congo, Kanaky to Kashipur. We monitor and intervene on policies of defence, foreign affairs and international trade. We support war resisters who are consciously refusing to participate in war. 
 
 
 
Our groups employ and appreciate a diversity of tactics including but not limited to: Sharing experiences and resources to carry out coordinated actions with local, national and global peace and justice movements; public education and awareness through public talks, media interviews, opinion pieces, news stories, maintaining a website, creating and distributing flyers and setting up displays; direct action including non-violent protest and civil disobedience; and lobbying and strategizing around political agendas including meetings and submissions to government departments.
