Description of service(s) The Financial and Consumer Services Commission (FCNB) is the New Brunswick Crown Corporation responsible for protecting consumers and investors through regulation and education. From credit union accounts and mortgages to investments, payday loans, real estate transactions, insurance and pensions, virtually every New Brunswicker is a consumer of financial services.  
 
FCNB's goal is to help contribute to confident, dynamic financial marketplaces and well-informed consumers.  
 
FCNB helps New Brunswickers become informed consumers and investors by providing information on:  
• Credit and collection  
• Saving and investing (including budgeting)  
• Insurance  
• Consumer purchases  
• Fraud prevention (including resources for seniors) 
• How to talk to youth about money  
 
All of our resources and programs are offered at no charge and available in both official languages.

La Commission des services financiers et des services aux consommateurs (la FCNB) du Nouveau-Brunswick est une société de la Couronne responsable de la protection des consommateurs et des investisseurs par l’éducation et la réglementation. Nous avons tous besoin tôt ou tard de services financiers, que ce soit pour un compte à la caisse ou une hypothèque, un placement, un prêt sur salaire ou une transaction immobilière, une assurance ou un régime de retraite. 
 
Les objectifs de la FCNB sont de contribuer au développement de marchés financiers dynamiques et résistants, et d’assurer que le public soit bien informé. 
 
La FCNB aide les Néo-Brunswickois à devenir des consommateurs et des investisseurs avertis, en leur fournissant des renseignements sur :

• Les assurances  
• Les décisions d’achat  
• La prévention de la fraude (y compris des ressources pour les aînés) 
• L’éducation des jeunes sur la prise de décisions financières
