Summer Reading Club for school-age children grades 1-8 and Summer Reading Club Jr. for pre-schoolers runs from July-August. This is a free provincial program that is based on a theme chosen by one of our 5 regions. Children get logbooks to keep track of the books they read and each week we have a program with stories, games, and a craft or activity! Registration is necessary, but attendance to the weekly meetings is not. This is a great way to motivate children to continue to read throughout the summer. Contact the library for more program information. Contact the library for more program information. Preschool Story Time runs from September to May at 10:30 am on Wednesdays. This free program introduces children to stories, songs, finger plays, games, and crafts... skills that help prepare them for kindergarten! An adult must accompany the child. Babies in the library is a free program for babies 0-18 months and their grown-ups to learn finger plays, rhymes, develop social skills, and learn about stories. This is held depending on demand.
