Description of service(s) | The goal of the Early Music Studio of Saint John is to provide educational and performance programs which stimulate interest in, and increase appreciation of 17th and 18th century music. The Studio is a registered Charitable Organization (#85700 4956 RR0001) directed by a volunteer board. The Studio's main projects are the annual Saint John Early Music Festival in late May, the Summer Classics Series of noontime concerts (July-August), Midwinter Mozart Series (Jan-Feb) and the World of Keyboards Series, all at the Saint John Arts Centre. Its professional ensembles perform an annual Loyalist Concert in mid-May and other performances in Saint John, Fredericton and Saint Andrews throughout the year. The Studio also presents an annual Young Musicians Concert at the Saint John Arts Centre (June). Educational programs include Workshops for professional musicians and the Early Music Schools Initiative (school presentations) in the Anglophone South School District. |
