|Description of service(s)||Our Residential Programs:
Saunders Street & Squires Street Residences
Our two DSD residences accomodate up to 6
placements for adolescent males and females
who are in the care of Department of Social Development. These programs offer a highly structured model which addresses social, interpersonal, educational
and independent living skills. The program assists residents to integrate into the community at large by encouraging participation in community based services.
Albert Street Crisis Unit
Albert Street provides a highly supervised, therapeutic environment for children and youth 10 - 18 years of age. Albert Street accomodates up to three placements and serves both male and female clients.
Albert Street offers 2 levels of intervention:
Level 1 : Emergency Short Term Care
Intervention at this level will focus on responding to the immediate factors which precipitated the crisis. Our primary objective is to stabilize the young person and assist in returning them to a less restrictive environment.
Level 2 : Observation & Assessment.
Intervention at this level will provide longer term placement for youth who require care and support beyond the initial crisis period.
Norman House/Gregg Court Residence
Accommodates up to 3 younger aged children (7 - 11) who are in the care of the Department of Family and Community Services. These programs offer a highly structured model which addresses social, interpersonal and educational skills. The program assists residents to integrate into the community at large by encouraging participation in community based services.
A therapeutic parent model program for up to 2 young children (ages 7 - 11) providing a highly supervised, therapeutic environment.
