Description of service(s) | The Dieppe Youth House is a bustling meeting place for youth where they can participate in group activities that they choose and organize themselves. We encourage youth to take charge and play an active role, including in the decision-making. The objective of the Youth House is to work with all the youths from the Dieppe, Moncton and Riverview regions of New Brunswick and more specifically to : - promote prevention strategies with youths and help them coordinate various activities/programs; - implicate youths at all levels of the Youth House; - initiate and educate the authorities and the population of the needs and various realities in the lives of youths; - create a meeting place where activities will focus on the total development of youths and answer to their specific needs; - promote the development of human, material and financial resources fulfilling the needs of youths; - encourage a better perception of youths in the community; - enable youths to orientate their creative energy towards positive and constructive activities that will contribute towards a reduction of youth delinquence; - create an atmosphere which will necessitate youth to be more self disciplined; - offer a variety of issues they face on a daily basis (suicide prevention, social integration, substance abuse and many others). |
