Description of service(s) | Legal Aid New Brunswick provides the duty counsel lawyers for first appearances at provincial court in both adult and youth courts as well as Family Court . The Domestic Legal Aid program provides legal services (custody, access and support) for victims of spousal abuse and for parents in matters of support. Eligibility requirements must be met through Social Development (formerly Family and Community Services) for Domestic Legal Aid. Provides lawyers for trials to successful applicants for serious criminal charges and for custodial parents when the Department of Social Development (formerly Family and Community Services) is applying for custody of child(ren). |
