Description of service(s) The Early Intervention Program is a home based, social support and educational service for families of preschool (0-5 yrs) children who have, or are at risk having of having, developmental delays. 
Positive family outcomes should be achieved during the child’s early years, by strengthening existing informal systems (familiar and friendship networks), and by the provision of social systems that will provide the information and support necessary for parents to make the best decisions for their family. 
The goals of Early Intervention Program are: 
* to promote healthy childhood growth and development 
* to promote healthy parent-child interaction 
* to promote family wellness
Areas Served Carleton County ; Victoria County ; York County - northern part ; The Upper Saint John River Valley
Eligibility Ages: 5 year(s) and under
Application Families who have children ages birth to five years who have an identified developmental delay or who are ‘at risk’ of developing a developmental delay due to environmental, established or biological risk factors.
