Description of service(s) The Fredericton Therapeutic Riding Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing therapeutic horseback riding to individuals with a physical and/or cognitive disability such as Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and Spina Bifida. Our program provides opportunities for individuals to learn to ride while at the same time working on physical, cognitive and psychosocial goals. Volunteers are also required for our program.

Eligibility Ages: 99 year(s) and under 
- Must have a disability – either physical or cognitive 
- Must be able to stay on a horse for an entire lesson 
- Family and/or friends must be able to stay for entire lesson 
- Must have permission from a physician 
- Must have specific goals that will improve physical, cognitive and/ or psychosocial impairments 
- Must display appropriate behaviour – not placing self or others at risk 
- Must be able to tolerate a riding helmet for entire session
