Description of service(s) | Youth Impact Jeunesse Inc. provides care and guidance to children and youth between ten and nineteen years of age who have social, emotional, and behavioural challenges. Mission Statement: Youth Impact Jeunesse Ins helps young people succeed by providing support and new opportunities. The goal is to help youth and their families reduce or eliminate the conditions that have acted as obstacles to successful families. Youth Impact offers services within an integrated, multi-component continuum of care. These include preventive community outreach services, in-home family support, and highly structured residential treatment programs. Outreach programs include: ANGER MANAGEMENT AND VIOLENCE PREVENTION Associate Director: Gail Lutz (869-6342) This program is offered in fourteen sessions covering topics such as social skills, self-esteem, recognition of what triggers anger, and appropriate expressions of anger. LEARNING CENTRE For More Information Contact: (869-6054) The Learning Centre is an academic upgrading program for youth 18–24 years of age who are no longer attending school because of drug and alcohol abuse, poor peer and teacher interactions, or low academic achievement. INTENSIVE SUPPORT PROGRAM (ISP) Program Manager: Tracy Lapointe (869-6380) This program serves youth who are involved with the legal system and at risk of progressing to a custodial sentence without support in their community. DRUG INTERVENTION PROGRAM (DIP) Program Manager: Neil Young DIP provides youth with information, support, and strategies that will assist them in alleviating drug usage. Through the development of a directional plan tailored to each individual's strengths and needs, youth will become more engaged in education, Employment, and community. YOUTH WORKS Program Manager: JP Poirier (869-6188) The Job Readiness Program engages high-risk youth who have left school prematurely. The program helps them learn life and social skills that are crucial to finding and maintaining employment. QUEST CASE MANAGMENT Program Manager: JP Poirier (869-6188) The program provides case management, client assessments, and pre-employment and employment preparation services to at-risk youth. TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM Program Manager: Amanda Fielding (869-6301) Youth who are homeless or potentially homeless access this program to stabilize and change their lives. Up to four males and four females have the opportunity to reside in supported apartments that offer them a chance to learn skills that will lead to greater self-sufficiency. |

Areas Served | Dieppe ; Moncton ; Richibucto ; Riverview ; Shediac ; Residential Programs: some are provincial in nature serving youth from all parts of NB. Residential programs are physically located .in the following communities: Moncton, Sussex, Quispamsis, Saint John and Fredericton. Community outreach programs are all in Moncton with the exception of a Youth Works Program operating out of Saint John. |
