Description of service(s) The Kent Family Resource Centre mission is to develop a permanent bilingual centre of resources and social action for families with children from 0 to 6 years of age in Kent county. 
 
The Kent Family Resource Centre offers the following programs: 
 
Drop-In program 
Our Drop-in Program provides a healthy, peaceful and out-of-the ordinary environment in which parents and children can socialize, meet new friends, and organize family activities. Special activities are organized to celebrate various occasions and holidays. 
 
Parenting Skills Workshops 
This Program aims to help people who want to learn to be better parents. Some of the courses offered are: 
How to talk so kids will listen 
Siblings without rivalry 
Different conferences and workshops 
 
Pre-Kindergarten 
Structured activities help children entering kindergarten in the next year develop physical, mental, social and many other skills. 
 
Tiny Pencils Club 
A literacy club where parents and children learn to "be together" while making handicrafts, playing games, singing, and reading books. Parents are the activity leaders. 
 
Musical Moments 
Aimed at families with children 3 and 4 years of age, this program offers six sessions during which they learn popular songs and are acquainted with various instruments and basic musical concepts. 
 
Parent's Library 
A wide variety of books and videos on parenting skills as well as children’s videos can be borrowed for two weeks at a time. 
 
Daddy and Me Let's Play Program 
 
In the Summer, Let's Play and Swim Program is offered.  
 
Some programs do not run in the Summer, please inquire.
