Description & Services | |
Description of service(s) | While directing New Life Mission, an organization devoted to inner city children, Cal Maskery saw a great need to help transform the lives of parents so that the homes of the children, reached by the mission, could provide a safe and healthy environment. So began Harvest House Atlantic in the spring of 1997 to expand outreach to include the entire family unit. Cal believed that this would break the cycle of crime, addictions and abuse passed on from parents to children through successive generations. That same vision remains clear in the hearts of our staff and volunteers today. Since we do not believe that anyone are a lost cause our purpose is to demonstrate Christ's love in practical ways. By using Biblical principles our hope is to see them restored to a productive, healthy lifestyle with Christ at the center. Today Harvest House Atlantic has a growing number of centers throughout the Maritimes in order that we may address issues facing individuals. We serve in many different areas and our various programs include: - 9 month Addiction recovery - Emergency overnight shelters open every day of the year - Step Up Program - Skills and Development workshop - Hebron book distribution ministry into prisons - Daily Like Skill classes ranging from many different topics - Daily Discipleship Training - GED - Drop in Centers - Counselling - 12 Step Overcomers program For information on timing and topics call our Drop In Center at 506-388-4357 |
