Description & Services
Cross Reference Saint John Chapter
Description of service(s) Learning Disabilities Association, Saint John Chapter, is a not-for-profit, voluntary organization made up of parents, professionals, and interested individuals who are dedicated to increasing awareness and services for persons with Learning Disabilities in our communities. We provide support to parents, professionals, adults with LD and employers. As 80% of our population have a reading disability (dyslexia), LD symptoms are often seen only when the child begins school.
LDANB Saint John Chapter was the 2005 co-beneficiary of the Greater Saint John Community Foundation gift in honour of Thomas L. McGloan, Q.C., Community Service Award recipient.
LDASJ has a new brochure available: Learning Disabilities -Resource for Adults
LDASJ presently offers our specialized literacy intervention program to students of SJBKE school. They are referred to us by the teachers. It is made possible through a donation of the Greater Saint John Community Foundation.
